Description

As part of Phase 3 of the refurbishment of the Ste-Foy water treatment plant, Deric Construction was asked to modify the plant’s 20 filters to update the filtration technology and improve the plant’s drinking water production capacity.

The project also involved modifying settling tank #1 and the buffer tank for wash-water discharge, adding an emergency exit to the building, and adjusting the plant layout to accommodate the new piping. Deric Construction was responsible for all of the structural aspects of the project, from process mechanics to electricity and instrumentation.

  • Demolished, waterproofed, and rebuilt the Ste-Foy water treatment plant’s 20 filters Added new stainless-steel filtration technology

  • Installed new stainless steel and fused HDPE pipes, ranging from 8ʺ to 24ʺ in diameter
  • Installed FRP gates to access the filters
