Sorel Multipurpose Warehouse

Description

Construction of 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse, involving demolition, excavation, soil decontamination, concrete work, drain and aqueduct work, work on steel structures, paving, and electrical work. Deric Construction Inc. was fully responsible for this multidisciplinary project.

Main features

• Improved soil under the foundations using controlled modulus columns to reduce settling and ensure the soil had the necessary load-bearing capacity
• Excavated and managed contaminated materials
• Placed formwork, cages, and concrete in the foundations
• Built a steel structure and envelope
• Carried out electrical, ventilation, drain and aqueduct, and site development work, including paving
• Installed a scale and guardhouse
• Added a water meter room
