Replacement of the rails of gantry cranes 5, 7 and 8

Description

During this project, Fugère et Fils, newly named Deric Construction, had to remove each section of rail and then rebuild the foundations and reinstall new rails with new clamps. Millimetre accuracy was required and space for welding was very limited. The rails for gantry cranes 7 and 8 were replaced in 2017, followed by the rail of crane 5 in 2020. Both projects had a tight schedule.
